Three Poems by the outstanding Russian poets of the XIXth century: "Beggars" (lyrics by Alexey N. Pleshcheyev, 1825 - 1893), "Grief" (lyrics by Ivan Z. Surikov, 1841 - 1880) and "Yesterday, about 6 p.m." (lyrics by Nikolai A. Nekrasov, 1821 - 1878; the composer also added three last lines from another Nekrasov`s poem - "Oh, Muse! I am at my coffin's door!"). "Wim de Graaf" is a Dutch pseudonym of the composer which he used in the 90s - early 2000s, during and after his study at Rotterdams Conservatorium in 1993 - 1994.
